Briana Darden

Briana Darden – Violin, Voice, Piano

Briana Darden is a violinist and soprano based in Athens, Georgia. She began her musical journey at age five studying piano and singing in church choirs, and by age eight she had added violin to her studies.

Throughout high school, Briana was actively involved in orchestra and chorus and participated in numerous extracurricular ensembles, including the Metropolitan Youth Symphony Orchestra (MYSO), Georgia Youth Symphony Orchestra (GYSO), Kendall Youth Orchestra, Uncommon Time A Cappella, District 13 Honor Chorus, and District 13 Solo & Ensemble.

At the University of Georgia, Briana has continued her musical training as a Music Minor studying voice while regularly performing with the UGA Symphony Orchestra. She has also collaborated with several university ensembles, including the UGA Hodgson Singers, UGA Women's Glee Club, UGA Repertory Singers, and University Choir. In the summer of 2025, she participated in a study abroad program through the UGA School of Music, performing internationally in Turin and Milan, Italy.

Briana's performance experience includes appearances with the Athens Symphony Orchestra and Alpharetta Symphony Orchestra, as well as numerous departmental voice recitals. Music has also been a central part of her church life, where she has served as a pianist, vocalist, and worship leader from an early age.

She enjoys exploring a wide variety of musical styles, from classical and opera to musical theater, contemporary music, and beyond. Briana is currently completing her Bachelor's degree in Social Entrepreneurship with a Music Minor and plans to continue her education at the graduate level.

As a teacher, Briana is passionate about making music education both enjoyable and accessible. She strives to create a positive, encouraging learning environment where students of all ages and skill levels can develop confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of music. She believes everyone deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and experience the joy of making music.
