Jessica's journey as a musician began at a young age. She began taking piano lessons at age 6, and began playing the violin a few years later in an elementary orchestra class. She began taking private lessons on violin starting in middle school and studied with formal instruction through her senior year of high school in 2012.
She participated in All-State in both middle and high school as well as the Fulton County High School honor orchestra all four years of high school. She was also a member of the Buckhead Youth Symphony Orchestra for three years. She served as concert master of her orchestra at North Springs Charter High School of Arts and Sciences for three years as well.
She began teaching herself how to play the guitar her sophomore year of high school, and continued to play through undergrad at the University of Georgia. Jessica studied violin under Dr. Michael Heald at the Hugh Hodgson School of Music and graduated with a degree in Music Therapy in 2017. Jessica became a Board Certified Music Therapist in June of 2017.
Jessica went on to pursue her Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling at the University of Georgia and graduated in May of 2019. She currently works full time as a Residential Therapist at Twin Lakes Recovery Center in Monroe, but still enjoys playing and teaching music in her spare time.
Jessica worked with Stuever Studios beginning in January 2015, but took a hiatus due to scheduling in April of 2018. Now, Jessica is thrilled to be able to begin working with Stuever Studios again!
Jessica has training on the violin, piano, guitar, cello, the ukulele, the mandolin and with voice.
Jessica is now accepting students on any of the instruments she plays, and looks forward to work with students ready to make music!
